Youth Acro & Aerial Program

Our Youth and Teen aerial program runs a Sept-mid June curriculum with full program tuition split into 10 equal monthly payments, Students attend their scheduled class time once a week. Students may chose to enroll in multiple classes per week. While we encourage a consistent training schedule throughout the year, students can make changes to their schedule or drop a class by the 15th of every month to go into effect for the upcoming month. There is no commitment to stay the full year though you will be automatically re-enrolled monthly until or unless you request a change. We hold a student Showcase at the end of the year so families can see what students have been working on. Showcase is optional but participation is highly recommended.

New students with no experience are welcome to start training in the following classes:

Pre-Acrodance (ages 4-6)

Primary (kids) Acro and Aerial (ages 6-9)

Youth/Teen Mixed Aerial Fundamentals (ages 10-16)

Acro 1 (ages 10-16).

There are no pre-requisites for these classes. All students are welcome!

Students will be placed in appropriate classes as they advance. If a class you want is full please make sure that you enroll on the waitlist and we will contact you when a spot opens. The -My Account- tab will take you to our booking system.

Pre- Acrodance (ages 4-6)

Pre Acrodance is a fun and effective class for ages 4-6. Students are able to start developing ground skills at this age.The curriculum includes Ballet and Acrobatic sections. Our program is specifically designed for young dancers and prioritizes building high level technique from the ground up while incorporating fun and games into learning.

Students will learn Ballet terminology and foundational ballet movements. They will also learn acro fundamentals such as bridges, beginner handstands, splits and jumps; as well as basic tumbling skills such as forward and backwards rolls and cartwheels. Both class portions focus on building flexibility, balance, and strength as well as blending dance and acrobatic movements seamlessly together. Small class sizes allow us to provide corrections and attention to each student.

Within class students also learn skills that help them outside of class such as following directions, taking turns, teamwork, coordination, emotional regulation, focus, patience, kindness and confidence. We care about the environment we are providing and commit to supporting the growth of kind and wonderful humans in addition to teaching a solid technical foundation in Acrobatic Dance.

Primary (Kids) Acro and Aerial (ages 6-9)

This class is specifically designed for kids ages 6-9. We use ground work and acrobatics training to help prepare them for the air. Students will begin main instruction on aerial sling (aerial silks suspended with a loop). Occasionally foundations in Hoop, Trapeze, or straight Silks may be explored.

Kids classes incorporate games for conditioning, skills, and theory to keep the kids engaged. We don’t just teach circus, we teach life skills through circus. Kids classes have an emphasis on socialization, teamwork, confidence building, discipline, and strength; all while having a great time and learning new skills. We progress students slowly and safely in the air to build a strong, solid foundation for aerial work.

No movement experience is required to begin this class. Class sizes are limited to a small class size which allows us to meet all students at their level.

Youth/Teen Mixed Aerial Fundamentals (ages 10-16)

This class is specifically designed for kids ages 10-16. Students will split main instruction between aerial sling and aerial fabric. Aerial sling is fabric suspended in a loop and aerial silks hang straight down with two tails of silks. Occasionally foundations in Hoop, Trapeze, or straight Silks may be explored.

Students will master the fundamental skills needed to build a solid aerial foundation. Youth/Teen classes still incorporate games for conditioning, skills, and theory as play is a very effective way to learn at all ages and aerials should never stop being fun! This class builds a toolbox of level appropriate skills that the rest of our curriculum builds off of.
